Who feels secure? Racial capitalism and global security

In today’s world, security is overwhelmingly understood in the narrow terms of policing. But what if instead of handing guns to people to aim at each other, we were to give them access to food, healthcare, housing, and other basic goods that constitute material security and benefit everyone?
